The methods

The project seeks to find out what is already happening out there in Primary Care so it is taking a ‘formative approach’ to understanding provision. It is not testing anything new but gathering evidence about what is being done to adapt to new and diverse populations. From this review we hope to see innovations that show promise and may be suitable for further testing in different places.

There are three main parts of gathering this evidence:

  1. Sending out an on-line form to primary care providers to outline what they are doing
  2. Interviewing some of those providers to see how things work or don’t work
  3. Identify case studies to look at innovations in more depth

The information sheet for the project is here.
